After long suffering and painful illness Fr. ROMAN KMIEĆ, C.M. passed away at night, December 21, 2022 at Regional Hospice, 30 Milestone Road,Danbury, CT, where he was staying for several weeks. His brother Jan was in his presence. He was 61 years old, 42 years of vocation and 36 years of priesthood.
Annual retreats are the regular spiritual exercise of every priest in the Congregation of the Mission. This week, October 10-12, some of our Confreres went to Cape May, NJ. There, in the retreat house of the US Eastern Province of the Vincentians, at the ocean cost, they spent some time reflecting. meditating and praying. Fr. Marek Sobczak, Provincial, Fr. Marek Sadowski of St. Michael’s Church in Derby, Fr. Sławek Szucki of St. Stanislaus Kostka in Brooklyn, and Confreres from St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Brooklyn Fr. Eugeniusz Kotliński, Fr. Józef Wiśniewski and Fr. Jan Szylar participated in the Retreat Program.
