Rev. Roman Kmieć, C.M., passed away


Roma Kmiec RIP cover

After long suffering and painful illness Fr. ROMAN KMIEĆ, C.M. passed away at night, December 21, 2022 at Regional Hospice, 30 Milestone Road,Danbury, CT, where he was staying for several weeks. His brother Jan was in his presence. He was 61 years old, 42 years of vocation and 36 years of priesthood.

Annual Priestly Retreats

rek22Annual retreats are the regular spiritual exercise of every priest in the Congregation of the Mission. This week, October 10-12, some of our Confreres went to Cape May, NJ. There, in the retreat house of the US Eastern Province of the Vincentians, at the ocean cost, they spent some time reflecting. meditating and praying. Fr. Marek Sobczak, Provincial, Fr. Marek Sadowski of St. Michael’s Church in Derby, Fr. Sławek Szucki of St. Stanislaus Kostka in Brooklyn, and Confreres from St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Brooklyn Fr. Eugeniusz Kotliński, Fr. Józef Wiśniewski and Fr. Jan Szylar participated in the Retreat Program. 

New England Province of the Congregation of the Mission today

On the occasion of the 43rd General Assembly a video presenting the history and ministries of the New England Province was prepared for the delegates. Now, you can watch the video, too.

Annual Parish Picnic held in St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish

Take a look at the impressions from the Annual Parish Picnic held in St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, Brooklyn, NY on Sunday, September 25. After the break, due to the pandemic, the event was organized anew. It took place in the auditorium and yard of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Academy at 12 Newell Street from 12:00 noon until 5 PM.

New ASSISTANTS GENERAL of the Congregation of the Mission.

Meet new ASSISTANTS GENERAL of the Congregation of the Mission. Together with the Vicar General (elected June 5) they constitute the General Council which helps the Superior General govern and lead the Congregation of the Mission. The new Councilors are:
1. Rev. A. Rafal KOPYSTYNSKI, C.M. (New England Province, USA – NCV)
2. Rev. Nélio PEREIRA PITA, C.M. (Province of Portugal – CEVIM)
3. Rev. Aaronn GUTIÉREZ NAVA, C.M. (re-elected, Province of Mexico – CLAPVI)
4. Rev. Dominique IYOLO IYOMBE, C.M. (Province of Congo – COVIAM)
