Letter from the Visitor on 2010 events

January 11, 2010

Dear Confreres,

From January 22 through January 25, 2010, I will be in San Antonio participating in the Convocation of the newly formed Western Province.  On Sunday, January 24, during the 4:30 pm Mass our Superior General will officially welcome Father Perry Henry CM as the Visitor of the new Province.

This ceremony will be the culmination of the first step toward reconfiguration of the five Provinces in the United States. And with this we must ask ourselves, once again, what is the future of the New England Province?

I ask each confrere to send to me in writing, in English or Polish your vision of the future of our Province by March 25. Your vision is very important, and if you want to have your thoughts on our future heard, please be sure you send them to me by that date.

On April 23, 2010, the New England Province will celebrate  35th Anniversary.  I would like to have a special Mass and gathering on that day at our Provincial House to give thanks for our past and discuss our future.   A celebratory dinner the night before, on Thursday, April 22, for all our confreres will be a good way to start things off.  More details will be sent later.

For our Foundation Day during this Jubilee Year I ask that you celebrate in a special way in your own communities. Perhaps this would be a good time to come together to pray and begin sharing your thoughts regarding the future of our Province.

Your brother,

A. Rafal Kopystynski, C.M.
