An exclusive interview with Superior General – part one

GGG interview 565 GPP2On occasion of his visit to Paris in May 2013 Fr. Gregory Gay CM, Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission met Thomas Zielinski of Famvin.org (also a webmaster of cmnewengland.org) for a wide-ranging conversation. This two part recording is result of the meeting held in very fraternal and friendly atmosphere. Part two to follow.

In part one Fr.Greg speaks of

  • his activity during the formation session for Sisters Servants of the Daughters of Charity from around the world;
  • new initiative in formation of Vincentian leaders focused on developing collaboration between branches of the Vincentian Family (VFCAP);
  • motives and goals of so called Vincentian Endowment Challenge, a project for supporting Provinces of the Congregation which are in need and leading some branches of the Vincentian Family that currently depend on the Superior General toward their self sustainability;
  • a mission he conducted in his home parish Bradshaw, Baltimore, MD;
  • Holy Week and Easter spent together with Daughters of Charity in rural Bolivia.

The interview was recorded live in the Motherhouse of the Congregation of the Mission in Paris.
