According to Cardinal Dziwisz localization of the events was practically chosen, too. Blonia, huge public meadow in the center of the town was selected to host the main events including meetings with Pope Francis. in the same place all other meetings with the John Paul II an Benedict XVI took place. It is estimated some 2 million people can fill the place for final Mass. Other sites like Devine Mercy and John Paul II Shrines in Lagiewniki, Krakow are considered to host some events, too.

Prior to central events there will be so called “Youth Days in Dioceses”, scheduled for July 20 to 25. Young people from around the world will visit their Polish peers in 43 dioceses in Poland but Krakow which is excluded.

Hopefully, International Vincentian Youth Meeting will take place in the same as the events in Dioceses, as it was in previous meetings in Brazil, Spain and Australia. However the decision was not taken among Vincentian Family what the exact date and location of this event will be. As soon as the decision is made we will let you know.

Cardinal Dziwisz and Bishop Muskus also announced an outline of schedule of the 2016 WYD:
– Monday, July 25 – arrival and accommodation in Krakow
Tuesday through Saturday: Festival of Youth
– Tuesday, July 26 – official opening of the 31st WYD presided by the Metropolitan of Krakow,
– Wednesday, July 27 – catechesis for participants, meetings in language groups,
– Thursday, July 28 – catechesis continued, arrival of Pop Francis and his welcoming,
– Friday, July 29 – catechesis continued, Stations of the Cross
– Saturday, July 30 – evening vigil with the Hol Father,
– Sunday, July 31 – central event – Eucharist with Pope Francis concluding WYD. A host of next WYD will be announced.

Msza św. pogrzebowa zostanie odprawiona w sobotę, 13 października 2012 o godz. 13:00 czasu miejscowego (7:00 AM EST) w kościele Księży Misjonarzy pw. Zmartwychwstania Pańskiego w Bydgoszczy . Następnie, o godz. 15:00 czasu miejscowego (9:00 AM EST) ciało zostanie złożone w grobie na cmentarzu komunalnym w Białych Błotach, na przedmieściach Bydgoszczy.

Pragniemy przekazać ks. Tadeuszowi i jego rodzinie nasze kondolencje z powodu śmierci jego mamy. Prosimy o modlitwe za duszę zmarłej.

These were very sorrowful moments for Fr. Rafal and his family. Almost four years ago (November 21, 2008), in the same church, his home parish, he lead the funeral of his Father. Presence of so many Confreres brought some consolation to his grieve. Fr. Marek Sadowski CM, Provincial Treasurer of New England Province and vicar of St. Stanislaus B&M, New Haven, CT preached very touching homily. At the end of the Eucharist Fr. Kryspin A. Banko CM, Provincial of Poland in few special words addressed all gathered and next he lead the procession to the cemetery. All concelebrants followed. Procession moved slowly across the town to the parish cemetery. Father Banko lead the burial prayers. Mrs. Kopystynska was interred next to her husband.

Again we unite with Father Rafal, his family and other siblings in prayer and his sorrow. We are their family as much as they are ours. Neither Father Rafal nor his relatives will never walk alone. Our prayers and thought will come along. Let us pray for the repose of soul of Fr. Rafal’s mother who joined her beloved husband today. May they rest in eternal peace.

Rafała Kopystyńskiego CM, Wizytatora Prowincji Nowej Anglii Zgromadzenia Misji. Msza św. pogrzebowa zostanie odprawiona 21 czerwca 2012 o godz. 13:00 czasu miejscowego (6:00 EDT) w kościele parafialnym pw. św. Michała Archanioła w Grodkowie, diecezja opolska (niedaleko Nysy) w Polsce. Następnie ciało zostanie złożone w grobie na cmentarzu parafialnym.

Pragniemy przekazać ks. Rafałowi i jego rodzinie nasze kondolencje z powodu śmierci jego mamy. Jego strata jest tym większa, że w listopadzie 2008 zmarł tata ks. Rafała, również pochowany w Grodkowie. Prosimy o modlitwe za duzę zmarłej.
