New ASSISTANTS GENERAL of the Congregation of the Mission.

Meet new ASSISTANTS GENERAL of the Congregation of the Mission. Together with the Vicar General (elected June 5) they constitute the General Council which helps the Superior General govern and lead the Congregation of the Mission. The new Councilors are:
1. Rev. A. Rafal KOPYSTYNSKI, C.M. (New England Province, USA – NCV)
2. Rev. Nélio PEREIRA PITA, C.M. (Province of Portugal – CEVIM)
3. Rev. Aaronn GUTIÉREZ NAVA, C.M. (re-elected, Province of Mexico – CLAPVI)
4. Rev. Dominique IYOLO IYOMBE, C.M. (Province of Congo – COVIAM)

The 43rd General Assembly of the Congregation of the Mission

The 43rd General Assembly of the Congregation of the Mission started Monday, June 27 at Casa San Juan de Ávila (via Torre Rosa 2) in the center of Rome.
The theme of the Assembly is: “Revitalizing our Identity at the beginning of the Fifth Century of the Congregation of the Mission”.
According to Constitutions of the Congregation of the Mission the General Assembly is the supreme authority of the Congregation and takes place every six years. One of the events during the Assembly is the election or reelection of the Superior General the successor of St. Vincent de Paul and his advisory body, the General Council.
The Assembly will last until July 15.

Memorial Day Celebration in Manchester

On the occasion of Memorial Day 2022, all the confreres of the Province gathered in the DePaul Provincial Residence in Manchester, CT to celebrate several priesthood anniversaries which happened in May.
Thanks to this anniversary event you can meet the members of New England Province. Not present at this picture are Fr. Waclaw Hlond, C.M. and Fr. Anthony Kuzia, C.M. who were not able to participate.

Rev. Grzegorz Markulak CM installed as the new pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Brooklyn, NY

On May 22nd, 2022, Rev. Grzegorz Markulak CM, was installed as the new pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Brooklyn, NY where he has worked as an administrator of the parish since September 2021. We congratulate Rev. Grzegorz Markulak and wish Him a lot of success in serving the parish and the people of God.
