Blessed Fredrick Ozanam once said, “Let’s go to the poor!” This meeting’s theme reflects his words, “Vincentians, missionaries of charity. Let us go to the poor!”. Participants are expected to check in July 18 at the special camp prepared by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Brazil in airport of Belo Horizonte. Some 2000 person can be received there. The catechesis will be on the topics of mission, charity, and new poverties. Meetings with families of the city and a festival of music and Brazilian dance will be organized too.

On the evening of Sunday, 21 July, the participants will travel to Rio de Janeiro, to take part in the WYD as Vin‐ centian Family. Housing in Rio de Janeiro will be by linguistic groups in schools in the downtown. At the end of World Youth Day, participants can return to their native countries directly from Rio de Janeiro or from Belo Horizonte.

My Brothers and Sisters of the Vincentian Family,
especially those who are of the younger class, and those to wish to be a part of our great Vincentian Family. I once again am convoking all of us to participate in the meeting of the Vincentian Family Youth prior to World Youth Day and which will be held this year in Rio de Janeiro.

Our activity as a Vincentian Family, especially the younger members of the Family, will be held in Belo Horizonte, some six hours from Rio de Janeiro and we’ll celebrate this activity three days in prior, which will be 19th to the 21st of July.

You re invited to arrive on the 18th, enroll at various activities,that help us grow in our love of Jesus Christ following Him as an Evangelizer and Servant of the Poor. To deepen our own spirituality, opportunities to pray together, opportunities to inform ourselves and better forward our own understanding of our faith especially from the perspective of the Vincentian Youth
and opportunity to play together, and opportunity to get to know one another from different countries and cultures and to share this great joy and happiness

I ask all of you to consider participating. Those who may have participated in Madrid know we had a wonderful time
where a thousand and five hundred of us gathered. This time we are expecting close to two thousand and have space for it.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul has provided us a camp that we’ll be able to celebrate together those three days.

So, it is grateful opportunity that we can give glory to the Lord and to celebrate our own lives and to help us deepen our love for Jesus Christ, our love for one another and our love to those who are Lords and Masters, the Poor.

So, we hope to see you then. That is the 19th to the 21st of July, 2013, Belo Horizonte, previous to the World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro.
